Tradetraks' New Features: Boost Efficiency – August 2024 Update

We’ve been hard at work, incorporating your feedback to enhance our suite of tools that streamline operations, manage finances, ensure safety compliance, and improve communication across the board. Today, we're excited to introduce a host of new features that will elevate your experience and help you achieve even greater efficiency in your projects.

Service Module Enhancements: Boost Your Efficiency

  1. Service Contract PO Field: Managing purchase orders just got simpler. Now, when you link a new service to a contract, it will automatically adopt the contract's PO number, ensuring consistency and saving you time on manual entries.
  2. Emergency Service Call Naming: Customization is key. Basic users can now assign specific names to emergency service calls, allowing for clearer tracking and organization. If you prefer not to name the service, it will default to “Emergency Service WO,” ensuring that your workflow remains uninterrupted.
  3. Editable Service Tasks: Flexibility is crucial in service management. With our new update, you can now edit and fine-tune the fields of service tasks after they’ve been added to quotes or invoices, tailoring them to your exact needs.
  4. Costs for Service Tasks: Control your expenses with ease. We’ve introduced the ability to associate costs with service tasks, whether you're creating a new task or editing an existing one. Plus, these costs now appear in the service report tab, giving you a comprehensive view of your expenses—though they won’t be included in the total service cost calculation.

 

Expense Module Updates: Streamline Financial Management

  1. Expense Due Date Field: Never miss a payment deadline again. A new optional “Due Date” field has been added when submitting new expenses, allowing you to set and display when payments are due.
  2. QBO Integration Enhancement: If you’re using QuickBooks Online (QBO), you’ll love this. The due date you set for expenses in Tradetraks will now automatically sync with QBO, ensuring that your financials are always up-to-date and accurate.


Project Bidding Improvements: Tax Inclusion Display.

  1. Tax on Project Bids: Transparency in bidding is vital. We’ve added a toggle option for taxes on project bids, allowing you to display tax amounts directly on your bid documents. This feature ensures that your bids are clear and compliant with tax regulations.

 

Contact Network Enhancements: Better Communication and Asset Management

  1. Document Delivery Operations: Simplify your communications. You can now toggle the “Attach documents directly to email as PDF” setting for all your contacts at once, streamlining how you send out essential documents.
  2. Global Customer Assets List: Gain comprehensive control over your assets. The new customer assets list in the contact network allows you to view, filter, and export all customer assets in Tradetraks, helping you manage your resources more effectively.

 

General Updates: Small Changes with Big Impact

  1. Improved Material Search: Finding what you need has never been easier. The search functionality for materials has been refined to deliver more accurate results, saving you time and effort.
  2. Batch Invoice Deletion Update: Batch invoice deletion now automatically changes the status of involved service jobs to “Reviewed.” This update lets you re-invoice these jobs individually or attempt another batch invoice.
  3. Updated Time Logs View on Mobile: We’ve redesigned the mobile time logs view into a tile format, making it simpler to see the key details at a glance. Click on any tile to dive deeper into the specifics.
